The mission at SUNY Potsdam's Student Health Services is to enhance the educational process by maintaining an environment for students to pursue their academic work with a minimum of health related barriers to learning.


Our mission also includes guiding students toward the development of a personal wellness program which will lay the foundation for a healthy life, including the empowerment to be self-directed and well-informed consumers of health care.

SUNY Potsdam's Watkins Student Health Center has been approved by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care since 1996. This voluntary inspection means that our health services have met or exceeded nationally recognized standards for health care and that we are committed to providing high quality care to all students.
