College is more than Classes!

The Student Government Association (SGA) provides a wide variety of activities, events, and services for the students of Potsdam College throughout the entire school year.

In some cases a contact address and/or phone number is given. if no such information is provided you should call the SGA office at 267-2588 and leave your name. This will allow us to find a representative of the group and relay your interest.

Services

In addition to all of our organizations, the SGA also provides the following services:

Boathouse at Lehman Park is the storage facility for our canoes and kayaks. You may rent these by going to Venture Outdoors and picking up your life jacket, paddles, and key.

Legal Aid is a service that allows students with questions of a legal nature to get free consultations with a local lawyer. For an appointment, stop by the SGA office in 213 Barrington Student Union, or call x2588. All cases are confidential.

Off Campus Housing List (PDF) is published and updated daily as the landlords call to list or delete their houses or apartments. Students should begin looking early in February for housing for the following year. The list can be faxed, emailed, or mailed to you, or may be picked up in the SGA Office.

Pete's Place, located in the MPR of Barrington Student Union is a place to hang out and play pool, ping-pong, fooze ball, darts or air-hockey for a very nominal fee. it is open from mid-afternoon through the evening on a daily basis, and is manned by the students. Bear Express or cash is accepted.

The Intramural Sports program offers a wide variety of sports contests on campus for both individual and team participation. Upcoming events are posted on the bulletin board under the left stairs in the Union Lobby. For more information call the Intramurals Office at x2619.

Venture Outdoors, located in the Barrington Student Union, is our outdoor equipment rental shop. We have cross-country skis, snowshoes, tents, stoves, and sleeping bags, etc. for your outdoor adventures. Fees are minimal and you may use Bear Express or cash. Canoes and kayaks are also signed out here.
