Assistant Professor of Keyboard Vacancy at Crane School of Music

The Crane School of Music is accepting on-line applications for a full-time, tenure-track position for an Assistant Professor of Keyboard beginning fall 2018. 

Responsibilities include teaching keyboard skills and functional keyboard courses for undergraduate music majors and possibly non-music majors. Student advising, service, and continued professional engagement are expected as part of the position.

Required qualifications include a completed Master’s degree in area appropriate to class piano/keyboard; demonstrated excellence in college-level group piano teaching; communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues; a demonstrated commitment to creating, fostering and sustaining an inclusive environment in and out of the classroom. Preferred qualifications include a completed doctorate in an appropriate field, evidence of relevant scholarly and/or creative activity, work, research or teaching involving underrepresented groups, and collaborative work across various departments in fostering the success of underrepresented groups.
