Residence Halls

The residence halls at SUNY Potsdam are a "home-away-from-home" for nearly 2,200 students. The residence hall program strives to provide students with a safe and fun environment in which they can attain academic success and grow into their future selves.

Campus living provides:

  • Convenient access to academic buildings, libraries, athletic facilities, campus activities, support staff and services.

  • A wide variety of building types and special interest housing programs like our First Year Experience (FYE) program, Outdoor Activity House, Gender Neutral housing, Substance-free, and Study Intensive.

  • Technology in all rooms includes Time Warner cable TV and Internet access, both wired and wireless.

  • Live-in Residence Life professional staff (ACs/RDs/GAs) and student staff (RAs).

  • Programs and activities designed especially to enhance the learning experience, including leadership development.

  • Easy access to kitchenettes, laundry, and study/activity lounges.

  • A welcoming, supportive and divers environment for all students.

  • Opportunities to make friends that will last a lifetime.

  • A living environment where the cleanliness of the halls and safety are a priority. The Residence Halls feature an electronic key-less entry system for building access and a thorough fire safety awareness program.
