The Crane School of Music has three departments, Music Education, Performance, and Music Theory/History/Composition, as well as The Crane Institute for Music Business, which administers the music business program.

The School offers undergraduate degrees in Music Education, Performance, Music Business, Composition, Music Theory, Music History, the Bachelor of Arts in Music degree, and masters degrees in Music Education and Performance. Students can also explore minors in Jazz Studies, Music in Special Education, Composition, Music Business, and Piano Pedagogy, or double major in a wide variety of fields outside of music.
