College Advancement invites applications for a F/T Development Officer who will be charged with cultivating and soliciting major gifts from alumni and friends in regions across the country. This candidate will join a highly successful fundraising team that encourages professional growth and operates in a collegial and supportive work environment. Some weekend and evening work and ability to travel extensively required (valid driver’s license required).
Bachelor’s degree; exceptional written and oral communication skills; word processing, email, web, and database environment proficiency; excellent organizational and process management skills; and ability to manage projects and meet goals and deadlines required. Two to five years paid professional experience in major gift solicitation or high-level sales preferred, with an abiding commitment to public education.
