Freshmen

North Country Graduates

 

We invest in North Country High Schools Graduates!

(North Country High Schools include schools in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lewis or St Lawrence counties.)

Our scholarships creatively cut dorm costs, tuition and a few provide funding for applied learning opportunities to experience more, with less financial burden.

Apply online today if you have earned at least an 88 (3.3) GPA or scored an 1100 or higher on the first two parts of the SAT or a 24 or higher on the ACT.

 

New York State Residents

 

You worked hard in the hard in the classroom and it's time for that work to pay off!

SUNY Potsdam has many ways to reward high achievers. Our scholarships are designed to reduce dorm costs, tuition and a few provide funding for applied learning opportunities to experience more, with less financial burden.

Out of State/International Freshmen Students

 

We want your home away from home to be comfortable in all ways!

Continuing Students

Outside/Private Scholarship Resources

  • Private Scholarships are awarded by private organizations such as the Elks Club, church groups, unions, etc. Notification of private scholarships should be forwarded to the Financial Aid Office. Private Scholarships are considered financial aid awards and may reduce the amount students need to borrow. Outside Scholarships are posted on our website as the Financial Aid Office receives them or you can search on the Federal Student Aid scholarship page or other free scholarship websites such as Fastweb. The amount and number of scholarships awarded is dependent upon the availability of these donations. All awards and programs are subject to change without notice as a result of fluctuations in funding levels.
