SGA STI testing program
The Student Government Association
has recognized the importance that getting tested for sexually
transmitted disease has on the health of our students. It has made
funds available to reduce the cost of getting tested. Now you just pay
$5 for gonorrhea/chlamydia testing and $5 for HIV testing. As in years
past, Student Health Services does the tests for trichomonas and
syphilis free of charge.
Self Care Center
Student Health Services has a Self Care
Center for students that just want some over-the-counter medicine to
treat their cold symptoms. Cough drops, cough syrup, decongestants, and
acetaminophen (Tylenol) are available at no charge. You do not need to
see a medical provider to get the medications. Just stop by the
Student Health office where you will be asked to fill out a request form
and our staff will get you what you need.
Think your cold might be something more? You should see a medical provider if you have any of these symptoms.
