$30 "Opt Out" Pharmacy Fee
This is an optional fee for students which makes it possible for them to obtain both prescription and non-prescription medications and from our dispensary, as well as other medical supplies, at no charge.
Pharmacy Fee Includes:
- Antibiotics for bacterial infections like strep throat, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, vaginal infections, STIs, skin infections etc.
- Rapid tests for Strep, Influenza, Mono and COVID
- Low-cost emergency contraception: $5 vs $48 in local pharmacies
- Prescription medication for initial treatment or heartburn, with follow up Rx to local pharmacy as needed
- Prescription medication for initial treatment of eczema and other skin conditions, with follow up Rx to local pharmacy
- Allergy medications such as Zyrtec and Benadryl
- Asthma nebulizer loan with albuterol solution provided and prednisone if needed
- Nicotine Replacement Therapy starter pack
- Pain/Fever management with Ibuprofen or Tylenol
- Cold care items such as Afrin Nasal Spray, cough drops, hand sanitizer, lip balm, thermometers
- Free PPDs for students doing internships or jobs that require them
- Orthopedic supplies including air casts for ankles, and wrist splints, arm slings and ACE bandages; crutches and canes available for loan
- HIV testing
- Pregnancy tests
- Cold care kits
- Wound Care kits
- Sleep care kits
- Menstrual supplies: pads, tampons
