Derek Drudge has a degree in Digital Media from Arizona State University and a Bachelor in Music Composition from Eastern Illinois University. Derek's professional audio career began in concert and theater production and has spanned everything from truck driving to studio recording. Derek's musical and research interests include spatial audio, acoustic ecology, and synthesis. His composition "Prime Storm" as well as his research which focuses on sound on Mars has been featured in conferences such as Convergence UK, and SEAMUS. Currently, Derek is creating musical works that are intended to be experienced in virtual reality, allowing the listener to travel through the composition in virtual space.
