As we reach the midpoint in our semester, we want to thank each of you once again for the incredible work that you are doing to stop the spread. We know by our low active case numbers (currently zero) that you are taking the necessary actions to put your health and the health of your fellow Potsdam Bears first.
This is a reminder that we have three “break days” remaining for the Spring 2021 semester. As a reminder, no required classes, sessions, or meetings are held for students on the scheduled break days. No assignments are due on these days.
Campus Life has some social programming planned for students on these days. In addition, things like student clubs and extracurriculars are not necessarily canceled. Students are encouraged to check out the Get Involved website for opportunities.
These days are meant for you to take a break, recharge your batteries, and do something (safely) that brings you joy. With the nicer temperatures, we encourage you to spend time outdoors, taking in the beauty of Potsdam.
The next break day is tomorrow, Wednesday, March 24.
The final two days are Tuesday, March 30 and Thursday, April 8.
In order to compensate for the lost class time, we also have the following “switch days” scheduled:
- On Monday, March 29, students should follow their normal Tuesday class schedule
- On Friday, April 9, students should follow their normal Thursday class schedule
We know this is confusing and encourage students who have questions about the break days to reach out to your faculty/instructors. We will send out reminders ahead of each of these days, but please mark your calendars accordingly.
