Perfectly in sync with the Halloween season, the Department of Theatre and Dance brought the classic zombie film “Night of the Living Dead” to the stage with five performances between Oct. 27 and Oct. 30. Leading up to the show, students and faculty were busy working behind-the-scenes as they designed the set, rehearsed their lines, selected their costumes, and learned the nuances of applying stage makeup.

For the students playing the zombies, Jay Pecora had them create personalized backstories about their characters' ghoulish transformation, which informed their choices for makeup and prosthetics. The students' "zombie tour" of campus helped promote the show a week before taking the stage in the Black Box Theater.
