We’re looking for motivated students with leadership experience - preferably sophomores, juniors, or seniors - who can thrive in an intense, fast-paced environment, have a passion for helping others succeed, and possess strong leadership experience on campus. The EOP Summer Institute Program Leader will play an essential role in welcoming incoming first-year students to the four-week EOP Summer Program. The leader will oversee various program aspects, ensuring students from diverse backgrounds receive the support they need to succeed academically and transition to campus life.

Summer 2026 Program Dates: July 6 - August 1, 2026

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and Support: Greet and mentor incoming students, creating a positive and inclusive environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
- Leadership and Engagement: Organize icebreakers, team-building activities, and social events to help students connect with peers and feel at home.
- Program Facilitation: Collaborate with staff and faculty to design engaging curriculum and learning experiences that promote college readiness.
- Academic and Personal Mentorship: Assist students in setting and achieving academic goals, providing resources and guidance throughout the program.
- Safety and Crisis Management: Ensure student safety, respond to emergencies, and support students in crisis, coordinating with campus resources as needed.
- Role Modeling and Professionalism: Serve as a role model, upholding program values of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with students.
- Encourage Student Engagement: Promote student involvement in all aspects of the program, from academic sessions to extracurricular activities, fostering a sense of community.
- Provide Academic Support: Offer guidance on study skills, time management, and academic resources to help students succeed in their courses.
- Monitor Student Progress: Regularly check in with students to track their academic and personal development and provide additional support as needed.
- Cultivate Campus Connections: Introduce students to campus resources such as libraries, counseling services, and academic departments, helping them feel integrated into the broader campus community.
Additional Duties:
- Lead Group Discussions: Facilitate group discussions on various topics, including academic success, personal development, and social integration, to encourage reflection and growth.
- Promote Wellness and Mental Health: Provide a supportive environment where students feel comfortable seeking help if needed.
- Serve as a Liaison: Act as a liaison between students and EOP Staff, ensuring students receive the necessary support and services.
