Fall 2026 Student Leadership Conference Sign Ups

Sign-ups are now available for the Fall 2026 Dr. Millard and Ruth Harmon Student Leader Conference Program!

The Dr. Millard & Ruth Harmon Student Leader Conference is designed to provide SUNY Potsdam student club/organization leaders with information and resources to enhance their skills as leaders. This is a unique opportunity for student leaders to learn about themselves as leaders while preparing their clubs and organizations for a successful year.  Topics covered include: exploring your leadership style, promoting your organization, event planning, effective communication, member recruitment, building a strong team, and a variety of topics focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. 


Fall 2025 Leadership Conference dates are Monday, 8/24-Wednesday, 8/26. 

Benefits of Participation:

Personal and group skill exploration and development.

Opportunity to network with, and get to know, a wide variety of student leaders on campus.

For residential students, the ability to move into your room on-campus prior to new students.

Participation in Welcome Weekend activities that will allow you to promote your organization to incoming first year and transfer students as well as returning students including the Welcome Team and Welcome Weekend Carnival.

Sign-ups are due by 4/16. Only one sign-up form should be submitted per student organization (you can register up to 5 students per group, pending space availability).
