Literacy Learning in Action Workshop: Literacy in the Pre-K Classroom

    This workshop is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Valley Teacher Learning Center and is open to all education students. It is part of a Literacy Learning in Action Workshop series that will be held throughout the academic year. Participants will include SUNY Potsdam students and staff, as well as local teachers! Please join us for this professional workshop to deepen your literacy instructional practice.

    This session will focus on creating a literacy-rich Pre-K classroom environment that nurtures early reading and writing skills. Participants will tour example classroom setups and then engage in activities that integrate literacy into various centers, from dramatic play to sensory bins. You’ll leave with practical ideas for setting up your own classroom to support early literacy development.
