Literacy Learning in Action Workshop: The Power of Nursery Rhymes and Classic Tales

     This workshop is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Valley Teacher Learning Center and is open to all education students. It is part of a Literacy Learning in Action Workshop series that will be held throughout the academic year. Participants will include SUNY Potsdam students and staff, as well as local teachers! Please join us for this professional workshop to deepen your literacy instructional practice.

     Nursery rhymes and classic tales aren’t just for fun—they’re foundational for developing early literacy skills. This workshop will provide you with engaging activities to support phonemic awareness, comprehension, and storytelling. Participants will practice creating their own nursery rhyme games and read-alouds, leaving with new ideas to bring classic literature to life in their classroom.
