The Student Success Center is accepting applications for the Summer Orientation Advisor position. The Summer Orientation Advisors play a crucial role in helping our first-year students with the transition to college by providing a wealth of information and assisting with their first semester course schedule. This is a great chance to interact with new students and set them on the path to success. This year, they are also looking for advisors to assist with our expanded transfer orientation sessions, so you will have even more opportunities to work with new students.
This is also a fun way to interact with your colleagues from across campus, learn more about the advising process (especially for those new to it), and earn some extra money over the summer. This year, they are able to offer a stipend of $175 per session -- $1,575 total, if you work all nine sessions! (The College's procedures for extra service apply, so an advisor can only receive payment when the work meets approved criteria.
