Go online to determine the meal per diem for your U.S. destination.
In the Meals and Incidental expense (M&IE) rates and breakdown section you will look for the M&IE Total (shown circled below) for your destination. That will be your meal allowance when you have a lodging receipt.
* Do Not use the Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, First and last day of travel breakdown (shown crossed out above) as that is for Federal travel.
Instead, use this breakdown:
