Late Registration

Registration: Day 8 - Day 21 of the semester

The Add/Drop period runs through the first 21 calendar days of each semester. Between day 8 and day 21, undergraduate students must obtain instructor approval to add a course and must have been regularly attending the class. 

Undergraduate students who wish to add a course during this time must submit an Add Request through the online Add/Special Drop form.

Most courses can be dropped in BearPAWS through day 21 of the semester. If you get an error message while attempting to drop a course, submit the online Add/Special Drop form.

Deadlines for adding courses with instructor approval and for dropping courses are listed on the Academic Calendar.

All students must be officially registered in their courses by the 21st day of the semester.

Late Add/Drop Requests (after 21 days)

After the 21st day of the semester, undergraduate students may request to late add or late drop a course only under special circumstances. Acceptable reasons include:

  1. Undergraduate courses that begin later in the semester (for example, partial-term courses such as a second-half PE class).
  2. Situations that prevented you from adding or dropping a course before the deadline.

If special circumstances caused you to miss the registration deadlines, you can complete the Late Add/Drop Request form.
