Creative Campus

Find space to become.

Explore our Crane School of Music stages, the award-winning Performing Arts Center, and our painting studios and galleries to see our incredible creative spaces.

SUNY Potsdam’s culture of creativity crosses boundaries and transcends disciplines. As an arts campus, we have programs in all of the artistic disciplines to choose from—and even non-majors can get involved. The integration of the arts, both into campus life and into the curriculum, means that students, faculty and community members all get unique opportunities to engage with people and viewpoints representing all different backgrounds. At SUNY Potsdam, artists and audiences alike learn to see the world through new perspectives—and sometimes, they come away transformed.

Creative Writing

After transferring to SUNY Potsdam, the Department of Theatre and Dance has felt like home for Stacia Goldsmith '22. Supportive professors like Cynthia DuFault and Robin Collen have created a safe environment for her to harness her dance skills, and collaborate with other dance students, as they rehearse and perform for live audiences within the Performing Arts Center.
