Route information is available for those driving to Potsdam, while maps of the Potsdam village and SUNY Potsdam campus are available above. In addition, local information about lodging, food, and rental car and taxi services is available for Potsdam and the nearby towns of Canton, Ogdensburg, and Massena.

Commercial bus service is available to Potsdam via Greyhound and Trailways. Upon request, CYM will provide transportation of participants (only!) from the bus station to campus. Requests must be submitted in writing well in advance of participant arrival.

Amtrak train service is also available for part of the trip. Trains from Montreal, QC and Albany, NY de-board in Westport and are transported to Lake Placid via shuttle bus. In Lake Placid, travelers can purchase Trailways bus tickets for the final leg of travel to Potsdam.

CYM often receives inquiries about airline services. Some  families opt to fly into the Syracuse International Airport, located approximately two and a half hours from Potsdam. Rental car services or Greyhound bus service are available for the final leg of travel. Others have chosen the Ottawa International Airport in Ontario, Canada. This airport is just over an hour from Potsdam, and rental car services are available, however, families will need to consider international travel regulations for border crossings.

Cape Air provides direct airline service from Boston and Albany to the nearby towns of Ogdensburg and Massena. CYM families should be aware, however, that these airports are located approximately 30 miles from Potsdam and do not offer rental car services. Those opting to travel via Cape Air should plan on utilizing local taxi services at an estimated cost of $50 per one-way trip between the airport and campus.
