Physical Education

BS.Ed. in Physical Education

The Physical Education major prepares students to become leaders in the gym, classroom, and beyond! The unique four-year degree program provides students with the knowledge, skills and ability to become certified teachers in grades preK-12.  Students will learn how to teach individuals or groups of elementary, middle, or high school students about healthy lifestyle behavior, as well as a variety of physical activities (fitness, gymnastics, rhythm and dance, sports and game skills). Students in our program will also have the opportunity to specialize in a focus area of interest, such as Outdoor Leadership, Health and Coaching. With a focus on hands-on learning, students will apply the skills they learn in the classroom as they work with children from local schools.
