Campus Life, SGA, and CUB are excited to bring back the SUNY Potsdam Night Market, happening Saturday, February 20th from 7-9pm in the Student Union MPR. This event will be a celebration of student art and music!
The mission of the Night Market is to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students at SUNY Potsdam. As such we are striving to feature art that appeals to and is appropriate for a general audience. We are particularly looking to highlight student artists or crafters who create items such as decor, jewelry, knit or sewn goods, apparel, keychains, totes, etc.
If you are selected as a student artist for the event, we would arrange to purchase a pre-determined amount of your items in advance. Students attending the Night Market would receive a coupon to get one free student-made item from one of the featured student artists!
We are looking for items that are $10 or less each - see pricing breakdown below. Please Note: No more than $600 of products will be purchased from a single student artist and we are looking for amounts ranging from 10-50 per artist. You may not utilize college resources to produce your art.
Selected student artists must attend the event for a "Meet the Artist" component and can showcase additional art if they would like. Student artists will also be featured on Night Market promotion! You would have until Friday, 1/22 to create all your goods for the Night Market.
If you are interested in being considered as a student artist for the Night Market, please fill out this form by Friday, 10/30 at 5pm.
