Literacy Learning in Action Workshop: Data-Driven Instruction

This workshop is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Valley Teacher Learning Center and is open to all education students. It is part of a Literacy Learning in Action Workshop series that will be held throughout the academic year. Participants will include SUNY Potsdam students and staff, as well as local teachers! Please join us for this professional workshop to deepen your literacy instructional practice. Assessment is only as powerful as the instruction it informs. This session explores how to use data from screeners, progress monitoring, and diagnostic assessments to make informed decisions about grouping, pacing, and intervention. Participants will practice interpreting sample data sets and translating results into next-step instructional plans. You'll leave with tools and templates for turning your own classroom data into an actionable teaching plan.
