Literacy Learning in Action Workshop: Dyslexia

This workshop is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Valley Teacher Learning Center and is open to all education students. It is part of a Literacy Learning in Action Workshop series that will be held throughout the academic year. Participants will include SUNY Potsdam students and staff, as well as local teachers! Please join us for this professional workshop to deepen your literacy instructional practice. Understanding dyslexia is essential for identifying and supporting struggling readers early. This session explores the characteristics of dyslexia, common misconceptions, and evidence-based instructional approaches that support students with reading differences. Participants will review case studies and practice matching instructional strategies to student needs. You'll leave with a resource guide for recognizing and supporting students with dyslexia in your classroom.
