Literacy Learning in Action Workshop: Writing K-3

This workshop is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Valley Teacher Learning Center and is open to all education students. It is part of a Literacy Learning in Action Workshop series that will be held throughout the academic year. Participants will include SUNY Potsdam students and staff, as well as local teachers! Please join us for this professional workshop to deepen your literacy instructional practice.Writing instruction in the primary grades lays the groundwork for years of writing growth. This session focuses on foundational writing skills—from sentence construction to early paragraph writing—for K-3 students. Participants will practice modeled and shared writing techniques and create scaffolds for emerging writers. You'll leave with writing templates and mini-lesson ideas tailored to primary writers.
