SUNY Potsdam Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar Series Features Free Fall Talks on Range of Topics
Dr. Anthony Betrus ’93 & ’94 will open the Fall 2024 Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar Series at SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday, Sept. 4, from noon to 1 p.m., in the balcony classroom in the Rebecca V. Sheard Literacy Center.
SUNY Potsdam will welcome back guests and faculty for the 2024-25 Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar Series again this academic year.
The line-up of speakers for the Fall 2024 semester will cover a range of topics, including online learning and teaching, the North Country non-profit landscape, evaluating military leadership traits, collaborating with international partner institutions, and the value and costs of language diversity.
The Disciplined Inquiry in Education Seminar is sponsored by SUNY Potsdam's School of Education and Professional Studies. Since its inception in 2007, the School has hosted more than 170 presentations as part of the annual seminar.
All seminar meetings will be offered on Wednesdays, on the Rebecca V. Sheard Literacy Center balcony, from noon to 1 p.m. There will also be a virtual viewing option available via Zoom. These events are free, and the public is welcome to attend.

- Oct. 30: Sharon Vegh Williams (North Country Children’s Museum): “Collaborating with Partner Institutions Abroad as a Fulbright Specialist”
- Nov. 13: Lev Vlasenko (Department of Business Administration): “Costs of Babylon: Languages, Trade and Education”
