Citation Guide
The Chicago Manual of Style presents two basic documentation systems, the humanities style (notes and bibliography) and the author-date system. The humanities style is preferred by many in literature, history, and the arts. This style presents bibliographic information in notes and, often, a bibliography. Below are some common examples of materials cited in the humanities style.

The CIS Alumni Scholarship is an endowed scholarship. In the Spring, monetary awards are made to students showing exceptional promise or achievement. Preference is given to transfer students with junior standing, but others may qualify. Contact the CS program coordinator for further information. Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Clarence Stephens, Sr.
Dr. Clarence Stephens, Sr. was the ninth African American to have earned a Ph.D. in mathematics. He was chair of the SUNY Potsdam Mathematics department from 1969-1987. His legacy is known as the Morgan-Potsdam model of Mathematical-Education.
