Summer & Winter Sessions

SUNY Potsdam offers sessions outside of the traditional academic year. These sessions include:

College Advancement Program (CAP)

SUNY Potsdam is proud to offer CAP (the College Advancement Program) for qualified high school juniors and seniors who would like to enroll in regularly-scheduled lower level credit courses on the Potsdam campus. Upon successful completion of a CAP course, students will receive academic credit from SUNY Potsdam.

Partnerships

SUNY Potsdam is proud to partner with more than 25 schools across New York State to offer concurrent enrollment opportunities to high school students. Graduate Scholarship for International Students

The SUNY Potsdam Graduate Scholarship for International Students is designed to provide support to international students intending to pursue full time graduate study at SUNY Potsdam. To determine your scholarship award, the committee will consider your application, official academic transcript and essay.

Employment

SUNY Potsdam utilizes an online system that allows applicants to view and apply for positions. This system is referred to as SPOLR (SUNY Potsdam Online Recruiting).

What is ROTC?

SUNY Potsdam is a proud and actively contributing college to the Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC) Program hosted at Clarkson University. ROTC is a leadership development program chartered by the branches of the military that can lead to a student receiving an officer’s commission.

An Example to Live By

At SUNY Potsdam’s virtual Legacy Series last fall, Nancy Castro ’00 could not help but notice the similarities between Garcia Oscar ’20 and Lloyd DeShawn Osborne ’00, despite the twenty-year gap between their class years. Both served as Resident Assistants on campus, volunteered to help those in need and advocated for justice and equity.

Graduate Scholarship

The SUNY Potsdam Graduate Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance upon admission to those high-achieving students intending to pursue their first graduate degree at SUNY Potsdam. This scholarship is available to entering matriculated graduate students applying for full-time summer, fall or spring admission (at least 9 credits). The successful applicant will receive the scholarship in equal installments in the first two semesters. The scholarship committee will consider cumulative undergraduate GPA and essay.
