Transfer Students
Students transferring directly to Potsdam with a CUNY or SUNY AA or AS degree, having completed 30 semester hours of general education including seven out of ten SUNY General Education requirements, will be exempt from any additional Potsdam General Education requirements not already satisfied. Students transferring directly to Potsdam with a CUNY or SUNY AAS degree will have their transfer work evaluated for satisfaction of General Education requirements on a course-by-course basis.
General Rules
The Student Union is for the use of the college community and provides areas in which out-of-class activities may occur. Animals or pets of any type are not permitted in the building. The presence of animals or pets violates the Public Health Law and college policy.

Faculty Recommendation Information
Students who may want to apply for a national scholarship benefit substantially from collaboration with faculty mentors. Discussions of professional goals, research and project opportunities, and individual studies with faculty members are decisive experiences in an undergraduate education.
Transcript Notation Policy
A student who has been suspended or expelled for any violation of the conduct code including, but not limited to, behavior that leads to the death or serious physical injury of another person, hazing, physical abuse, sexual misconduct, and per New York State Education Law Article 129B, conduct that constitutes a crime of violence (including but not limited to sexual assault) as defined in the Clery Act will have a permanent notation placed on the student’s official college transcript indicating the disciplinary suspension or expulsion.
