Artists from the SUNY Potsdam campus and around the country will come together virtually for the 2021 LoKo Arts Festival, which runs from Thursday, April 29 to Sunday, May 9. The 2021 festival features a range of performances, workshops and exhibitions.

The State University of New York at Potsdam will honor the Class of 2025, as hundreds of students earn their undergraduate and graduate degrees, during the College’s 205th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 17.Keynote speakerThis year’s keynote speaker for Commencement is the successful SUNY Potsdam alumnus Ronald Fishbeck ’80, the retired CEO of Systems Made Simple, who also serves as the vice president of the Potsdam College Foundation Board of Trustees.

SUNY Potsdam Art Education Program Leads Community Engagement Initiatives
Students and faculty in SUNY Potsdam’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program in art education (K–12) are leading a series of outreach initiatives this semester, providing hands‑on arts experiences for local youth while gaining valuable real‑world teaching practice.“Our ongoing efforts highlight the art education program’s dedication to enriching local arts experiences for both our students and the broader community,” said Instructor Katherine Schuler, who also coordinates the program.
Preview: SUNY Potsdam Students Display Works in Upcoming ‘Art Attack’ & BFA Show
SUNY Potsdam’s Gibson Gallery is set to display a range of works by talented students, with the upcoming “Art Attack” show and Bachelor of Fine Arts exhibition, taking place simultaneously as part of the LoKo Arts spring events series.Both shows will be on display in the Gibson Gallery from April 27 through May 15. The gallery will be open Monday through Friday, from 1 to 4 p.m.
