Outdoor Engagement: The Role Nature Has in Higher Education
This is a research project created to understand how nature can impact the stress levels of students at SUNY Potsdam. By interviewing and surveying students along with attending events created by Venture Outdoors and the Wilderness Education program, I can understand how nature impacts the stress levels of students. From this data I can work with pre-existing programs such as Wilderness Education to consider alternative opportunities that students can utilize to spend time outdoors and decrease stress levels.
