Perceptions and Pedagogy: How Society's Views of Classical Singing Influence the Collegiate Singer's Interaction with Voice Training
Sarah’s project is an investigation into the departure of collegiate musicians from the classical singing tradition through sociological, historical, and feminist lenses. Sarah plans on carrying out her research through close work on literature review with her mentor, developing interview questions, and using her budget to travel to different schools of music in New York State to develop an in-depth understanding of her research question.
