Federal Pell Grant

  • Available to undergraduate students
  • Award eligibility is determined by the Federal government and adjusted based on enrollment.
  • Awards are available for summer, fall and spring terms.
  • Annual full-time awards (12 or more credit hours) range from $740 - 7,395 per federal regulations.
  • Students who have already earned a bachelor's degree are ineligible.
  • Limited to 12 full-time semesters of eligibility.
  • Beginning July 1, 2026 students who receive grants or scholarships from non-federal sources (institutional, state, or private) that cover their entire cost of attendance (COA) are ineligible to receive a Pell Grant, even if otherwise eligible for the program.
  • 2026-2027 FAFSA has changes to Pell eligibility. Students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) equal or greater than $14,790 (twice the maximum Pell grant) are ineligible to receive Pell grant. Foreign income is now included in the AGI to determine SAI for Pell eligibility.
