This presentation will take a fascinating look at Crane’s rich history and enduring legacy, including the new Dunn Hall exhibit.

The Gibson Gallery will host a special exhibition featuring more than 100 photographs by Stephan Savoia ‘75, showcasing the remarkable work of the two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and longtime Associated Press photographer.  Stephan will be in attendance to visit with alumni and discuss his work.

Members of the 50-Year Class and 50-Year Club are invited to begin the weekend with a special kickoff celebration hosted by President Suzanne Smith. Reconnect with classmates, celebrate this milestone anniversary, and enjoy a warm welcome back to campus as Reunion festivities get underway. A special welcome will be extended to the Class of 1976 as they join the 50-Year Club. Throughout the weekend, the Fireside Lounge will be the gathering place for members of the 50-Year Class & Club as a place to relax, reconnect, share memorabilia and enjoy time together.

The golden era of SUNY Potsdam Bears men’s basketball is brought to life in a documentary by SUNY Canton alum, Francesco Palumbo, featuring reflections from longtime Bear supporter Tim Dempsey (Hon. ’26) and interviews with numerous players, coaches, and fans who experienced the championship era firsthand—including the late Hall of Fame coach Jerry Welsh (’79).  Join us for this special screening in honor of the 1981 and 1986 men’s national championships and in loving memory of the late, great coach Jerry Welch. Light refreshments will be served.

Bike with the Bears “Bear Cub Family Ride” 

Alumni and friends are invited to enjoy a scenic recreational bike ride beginning at the new campus Bike Shop in Maxcy Hall at SUNY Potsdam. The ride will take participants along rolling country roads to alumni-owned Chip’s Place for a refreshing water stop before heading back toward campus past local landmarks including Bayside Cemetery, Trinity Episcopal Church, and Ives Park. The marked route will include wayfinding signage, volunteer support, and a GPS map developed by Bike Adirondack. Along the way, riders can enjoy a scavenger hunt and optional interactive stops before returning to the Bike Shop on campus for treats and a ribbon-cutting celebration for the new Bike Shop.
