For the past ten years, NASA Computer Engineer Jamie Szafran ’08 has played an integral role in the development of the Artemis Program, which will put the first woman, first person of color and next crews on the moon. During Virtual Reunion Week, Jamie is hosting an exclusive presentation and Q&A about Artemis and her work at NASA. Read more about her journey.

Susan Vroman Cavanagh ’77 relishes every chance she has to connect with the SUNY Potsdam family, but living in Florida makes it difficult—as does a global pandemic. Fortunately, Susan was able to reconnect with her alma mater in 2020 from the comfort and safety of her own home through SUNY Potsdam’s Virtual Reunion Week. Read more here.

We cannot wait until we are all together again on campus during Reunion Weekend 2022, currently scheduled for July 14-17. We will offer a mix of in-person and virtual events. Mark your calendars now!

Over 45 alumni from nine different states took part in the Virtual 5k last year. Consider joining them this year during Virtual Reunion Week 2021, whether to attempt a personal best or simply enjoy some time outside.

Busy During Reunion Week?

Find other ways to get involved with your alma mater!

  • Serve as a regional volunteer – Our regional volunteers are an invaluable resource as we coordinate events with alumni in specific areas of New York State and beyond!
  • Attend virtual events throughout the year – We are already preparing for more virtual events in 2021, including a wine tasting in the fall.
  • Mentor a current student – We have multiple opportunities for alumni to invest in students’ success, from leading presentations to mentoring students one-on-one.
  • Refer-a-Student – You can help the Potsdam family grow by sharing your love for the College with a prospective student. Complete our online form and we can send you resources for the student and a gift for you!
