SUNY Potsdam Opens New UPLIFT Strength Fitness Course Led by Provost Susan L. Perkins ’93 to Faculty and Staff
SUNY Potsdam is pleased to announce a new free fitness class offering, open exclusively to faculty and staff. The College will host a new UPLIFT Strength Fitness course, to be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m., in the Labyrinth Room, located in Van Housen Hall.
UPLIFT Strength Fitness™ makes building strength fun, effective and essential. Through functional, full-body training using hand weights,resistance bands, a ball and mat-based work, this class helps participants build real strength in a way that feels empowering and approachable. Set to a hype playlist of iconic throwbacks, UPLIFT delivers powerful results while keeping the energy high and the experience enjoyable. Participants will build muscle and confidence alongside a supportive community that celebrates effort, progress and showing up for yourself, leaving you feeling strong, capable and truly “UPLIFTed.”
The instructor for the class is Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Susan L. Perkins ’93, a certified instructor in the program.
Attendance is free. Voluntary donations to support the Prometheus Alumni Food Pantry and/or the Professional Clothing Closet are welcome in place of payment.
Classes will begin on March 16. Space is limited, so anyone who is interested in attending is encouraged to sign up using the interest form to secure a spot and get information about fitness equipment availability.
