High school athletes looking to test their game in a college-style training environment are invited to take part in the upcoming High School Girls Elite Basketball Camp at SUNY Potsdam. The one-day camp will give advanced players the opportunity to sharpen their skills, compete alongside other motivated athletes and gain insight into what coaches look for at the collegiate level.

Open to girls in Grades 9 through 12, the camp will be held Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Jerry Welsh Gymnasium, located on the second floor of the Maxcy Hall Athletic Complex. Training will focus on individual skill development, competitive play, and the habits and decision-making needed to succeed in a demanding team environment. Campers will also learn more about the college basketball experience and recruiting process, as they consider the next stage of their development.

The camp will be led by SUNY Potsdam women’s basketball coach Michael Busby, who brings 13 years of collegiate coaching experience, and Jenna Cotter, an All-SUNYAC former Bear who most recently played professionally in Germany. Together, they bring collegiate coaching, playing, and professional experience to the court.
Registration is $99, and enrollment is limited to 40 players. Advance registration is encouraged.
