The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) has selected the University Police Department for the February 2024 “Gold Stars” employee recognition award, citing the department’s “professionalism and compassion while supporting student and employee safety, regardless of the hour.”
The award recognizes campus departments that play a critical role in campus operations but are often overlooked despite their endeavors. U.P. rose to the forefront recently with their outstanding response to the Van Housen residence hall fire, but emergency response is not their only forte.
From vehicle lock-outs and jump starts, to safety escorts, managing lost and found items (including the annual Lost & Found Auction), a variety of workshops and presentations, and even delivery of emergency messages, our University Police Department provides invaluable service to the campus community.
