Trevor Blank will be participating in the panel, "Folklore Cheerleaders and Academic A$$holes: Getting Others to Take Folklore Seriously while Remaining a Serious Folklorist," for the 2017 Future of American Folkloristics conference in Bloomington, Indiana, May 18-20, 2017.
 
James J. Donahue was invited to review articles for PMLA, where he will be called upon to review scholarship working with contemporary Native American fiction.

Donahue was also accepted into the College’s 2017 NEH Summer Seminar, “Housing, Race, and Inequality in Modern America.”
 
Christina Knopf is receiving a courtesy appointment as adjunct graduate faculty in the School of Media & Communication at Bowling Green State University to serve as a guest doctoral dissertation committee member for a project doing critical rhetorical analysis of race, gender, and social issues in superhero comic books.
