Overnight Camp Medical Support Personnel Vacancy

The College is accepting on-line applications for Overnight Camp Medical Support Personnel.  Medical staff shall be on-site to respond to medical emergencies and assist the Camp Health Director in all medical aspects of SUNY Potsdam’s academic overnight summer camp programs (Crane Youth Music 6/30/19 – 7/13/19 and NCSTEP 7/7/19 – 7/12/19). 

Medical support personnel are required to live on campus throughout the duration of the camps and must be accessible/available for emergencies throughout the entire camp season.  Medical staff must be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and possess a current first aid certificate as defined in subdivision 7-2 of the state sanitary code for children’s camps obtained within the past year (since 7/13/18); most common: First Aid: Emergency Medical Response, Emergency Medical Technician, Responding to Emergencies, Advanced First Aid (complete list available at: https://www.health.ny.gov/environmental/outdoors/camps/docs/firstaid.pdf) CPR: BLS Instructor, BLS Provider, Healthcare Provider, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Providers, Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (complete list available at: https://www.health.ny. gov/environmental/outdoors/camps/docs/cpr.pdf).  Any additional professional medical experience and certifications are strongly recommended.  All certifications must be within the past year from the camp dates.
