The Research Foundation (RF), a private not-for-profit corporation, invites applications for a part-time (18.75 hours/week) Teacher's Assistant (Local title of English as a New Language (ENL) Tutor) for the Northeast Migrant Education Program for St. Lawrence County. Anticipated start date ASAP.
The ENL Tutor will assess English Language skills, provide ENL instruction to young Hispanic farm workers and provide advocacy. Flexible hours with possible week ends and/or early evenings hours. Spanish proficiency is required and a BA in Education is preferred. Salary is $16.00 to $16.25 per hour, with paid mileage, and benefits for anyone working at least half time. Position requires email, cell phone, dependable car and a valid driver's license. Renewal of appointment is subject to The Research Foundation for SUNY policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and the availability of annual funding.
