SUNY Potsdam Offers Flexible Campus Visit Options Throughout Summer Season
SUNY Potsdam will offer Summer Visit Days and Saturday Visit Days throughout June, July and August 2026. To register for either free event, go to www.potsdam.edu/visit.
SUNY Potsdam’s Office of Admissions is proud to announce upcoming seasonal opportunities for prospective students and their families to experience campus life at their own pace.
“We understand how important—and sometimes overwhelming—choosing a college can be,” said Director of Admissions Terry Francis ’97 & ’00. “Our Summer Visit Days and Saturday Visits are designed to help students and their families feel at home here, whether they’re just starting to explore or getting ready to enroll.”
Summer Visit Days are back again this year, helping prospective students get ahead of their college search and accepted students to work through their new student checklist ahead of joining campus. For visitors’ convenience, there are both morning and afternoon sessions available on each of the Summer Visit Days, as follows:
- Tuesday, July 14: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 29: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
- Monday, Aug. 3: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 20: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Can’t make it to campus during the week? SUNY Potsdam is also offering Saturday Visit Days this year, with all of the same tour opportunities, at a weekend pace. The visits will be held on:
- Saturday, June 13: 10 a.m.
- Saturday, June 27: 10 a.m.
- Saturday, July 11: 10 a.m.
- Saturday, July 25: 10 a.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 8: 10 a.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 22: 10 a.m.
Both visit day events will include a brief presentation from the Office of Admissions, a panel discussion featuring current students, and a campus tour, including an option to visit The Crane School of Music.
For new accepted students getting ready to join campus in the fall, SUNY Potsdam is also offering another addition this summer—the New Student Meet and Greet. This event is exclusively for deposited students to come to campus, mingle with future classmates and alumni, have a barbecue and get help wrapping up anything they need to do before coming to campus. There will be yard games, music and prizes!
The New Student Meet and Greet will be held on Friday, July 24, from 4 to 6 p.m., with optional campus tours being held immediately before and after the barbecue, at 3 p.m. or 6 p.m.
Registration for all Admissions events is free. To learn more about other upcoming visit opportunities, visit www.potsdam.edu/visit.
