Works by SUNY Potsdam Professors Take Center Stage in Faculty Dance Concerts, from Feb. 21 to 23
The SUNY Potsdam Department of Theatre and Dance is proud to present the upcoming 2020 Faculty Dance Concert. The concert features five works by faculty members Don Borsh, Kerri Canedy and Cynthia DuFault, all performed by students. The Faculty Dance Concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on both Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22, with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23. All performances will take place in the Proscenium Theater, located in the SUNY Potsdam Performing Arts Center.
Crane School of Music Students Complete Internships at 2020 NAMM Show
A group of 17 ambitious music business students from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music recently traveled to Anaheim, Calif., to network and complete internships at the 2020 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show, the world’s leading trade event for music products.

SUNY Potsdam recently honored 1,268 students who excelled academically in the Fall 2019 semester by naming them to the President’s List and Dean’s List.
SUNY Potsdam Campus Food Pantry Now Partnering with Food Bank of Central New York
SUNY Potsdam’s Campus Food Pantry has been accepted as a partner agency by the Food Bank of Central New York, which distributes food to individuals and families in need by partnering with local agencies across 11 counties. Now in operation for nearly 13 years, the SUNY Potsdam Campus Food Pantry is supported by the Department of Public Health and Human Performance. Students who are experiencing food insecurity are welcome to stop by and take what they need from its office in Dunn Hall.
SUNY Potsdam Installs New Geoscience Garden
SUNY Potsdam is now home to a new Geoscience Garden, featuring boulders and rock slabs oriented to mimic the actual geology of Northern New York. The new outdoor educational resource is the only installation of its type in the SUNY System and within the region.
‘Blueline: A Literary Magazine Dedicated to the Spirit of the Adirondacks’ Marks 40th Anniversary with Special Issue & Events
Blueline, a literary magazine in residence at SUNY Potsdam, is celebrating 40 years of publishing exceptional writing and art, with a commemorative issue and special events this year. The publication, which is titled “Blueline: A Literary Magazine Dedicated to the Spirit of the Adirondacks,” was originally founded in 1979 in Blue Mountain Lake, N.Y., by the editor and writer Alice Wolf Gilborn. Ten years later, Gilborn arranged to create a permanent home for Blueline within the Department of English and Communication at SUNY Potsdam, where it remains in residence today.

Over the course of his remarkable life and career, Bernie Williams’ exceptional talents in athletics and in music have taken him from center field to center stage. The longtime New York Yankee centerfielder and Latin Grammy-nominated musician gives every performance his all, whether the venue is Yankee Stadium or the House of Blues. He’s already an athlete, a musician, an author, an advocate for arts education and a philanthropist. Now Williams has a new title to add to his resume: Doctor.
