The Gift of Technology

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, people across the world became increasingly reliant on livestreaming to interact with the communities they cherish. Fortunately, SUNY Potsdam students, parents and alumni have stayed connected to the College through livestreamed recitals, concerts and encores of past performances due to the generosity of Gail ’64 and Richard Stradling (Hon. ’19).

Crane School of Music Complex access is restricted

Due to the new social spacing directives and the staffing limitations we are faced with, SUNY Potsdam is restricting public access to most campus buildings until further notice, out of safety and staffing concerns. This includes the Crane School of Music Complex.

Lindsay Johnson '17

During her time at SUNY Potsdam, Lindsay was active in undergraduate research in chemistry. She performed research in organic chemistry, biochemistry and biophysical chemistry. In the Fall of 2016, Lindsay received an internship in Physical Therapy at Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Clifton-Fine Hospital. Lindsay reflected on her time at SUNY Potsdam saying, "These opportunities have given me real world experience, knowledge and connections that I would not have gained otherwise." Bringing The Quad to Their Screens

Each year, the Office of Campus Life offers SUNY Potsdam students a wide array of programming to help them feel at home, make new friends, grow as leaders and enjoy their college experience. During the pandemic, however, the Campus Life team was tasked with a complex predicament: How do you engage students in campus life when they are isolating in their dorm rooms or living miles away at home? The necessary solution was to go virtual, and their efforts were successful due to a combination of their team’s tremendous dedication and their programs’ donors and endowed funds.

IE&P Scholarships

Each year, the IE&P office seeks applicants for two scholarships. The IE&P office emails international students in the spring semester when the award applications are available.
