The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored longtime faculty member and outgoing Interim Provost Dr. Alan L. Hersker of Oxbow, N.Y., with Honorary Lifetime Membership, during a ceremony at Reunion 2025. Honorary Lifetime Membership is presented to non-alumni who have made exceptional contributions to the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association and/or the College. Hersker was honored for his leadership, mentorship and dedicated service.

SUNY Potsdam College Council to Meet on Sept. 12
The SUNY Potsdam College Council will hold its first meeting of the 2025-26 academic year on Friday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m., in the Raymond Hall eighth floor dining room. SUNY Potsdam Professor Short-Listed for Charles Hatfield Book Prize
SUNY Potsdam Professor of English Dr. James J. Donahue was nominated for the 2025 Charles Hatfield Book Prize from the Comic Studies Society, for his most recent book, “Indigenous Comics and Graphic Novels: Studies in Genre.”
