5 Questions for a Community Health Educator:   How long have you worked at SUNY Potsdam and what is your primary role in the Department of Public Health & Human Performance? “I started working at SUNY Potsdam in June 2017, and I am the internship coordinator for community health majors. I help students navigate their internship experiences, all the way from building professional portfolios and searching for sites, to finishing up their internships, sometimes with job offers.”

This is a 60-70 minute presentation in Kellas 103. It includes instruction, funny videos, and hands-on practice. 9 Questions for a Double Major Why did you choose to attend SUNY Potsdam? “I chose SUNY Potsdam because my friends spoke so highly of the university. I also fell in love with the campus and the Performing Arts Center. I was sold on the facility and quality of the Performing Arts Center and all that the College had to offer me as a dancer.”   How did you choose your majors?

About the Internship: In my time with NRC, I learned a great deal on some of the techniques and ways to go about spill response and remediations. At the beginning of my time with NRC, I was in the office compiling and creating spill reports, assisting with labor on spills, and learning about the soil sampling process, and completing chain of custodies. The second half of my internship was completed in New Hartford at a wetland remediation.
