Adaptation: Staying Fit During the Pandemic
Some are college athletes trying to keep their edge. Others are personal fitness hounds pounding the snow on solo cross-country runs—or finding objects in their garage that can work as improvised dumbbells while they dream about gymnasium doors swinging fully open. All would like to survive the fog of Covid-19 with some measure of their pre-pandemic fitness intact.

Sometimes, Angella St. Denis ’21 dreams of all the sleep she will catch up on—hours and hours of uninterrupted slumber awaiting her someday in the not-so-distant future—once she finally graduates, once she finally lands that career helping young people, once she finally finds a bit of inner peace after years of seeking justice. But for now, she continues to toil night and day, in pursuit of her degree and of her dreams.
