Advising Worksheets
Use these helpful worksheets to denote your progress towards your Women's and Gender Studies major or minor.
Label Printing Instructions
Use only labels that are recommended for use in laser printers. Make sure that labels meet the correct specifications. (see note on labels below).
Using Time Machine in macOS
Users of the macOS may be familiar with using Time Machine on their personally owned computer or have used it previously with some campus-owned computers. While handy, it is simply not designed for use in an Enterprise IT setting as many server/system security mechanisms exist that are not compatible with it and its ability to properly restore your data.

Mobile Phone Information
A vast majority of students have found it much easier to purchase a mobile phone and plan after they have arrived to SUNY Potsdam. Many times the mobile phone from home does not work (wrong SIM card, wrong frequency, not unlocked, incompatible with the mobile networks in our area). The only two mobile carriers that work in our area are Verizon Wireless and AT&T. Walmart also carries phones and plans that work in our area as well. There will be time during orientation week for you to purchase a mobile phone if you wish.
Course Syllabus Statement Options
Vetted by SUNY Legal and approved by the Faculty Senate in the fall 2025 , SUNY Potsdam now features a standardized syllabus statement. Using this required language ensures all students have equal access to the same vital information. It’s a small change that makes a huge impact on campus equity and clarity.
