SUNY Potsdam Campus Moves to Become 100 Percent Tobacco-Free
Effective today, The State University of New York at Potsdam is now a 100 percent tobacco-free campus. Beginning immediately, no tobacco use will be allowed within buildings or on grounds owned or leased by the College.
SUNY Potsdam Virtual Reunion Brings Together Hundreds of Alumni
The SUNY Potsdam campus was unusually quiet this summer, when the College normally would have been welcoming back hundreds of alumni, emeriti, families and friends for Reunion Weekend. While the campus couldn’t celebrate milestone class years with its graduates in person this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SUNY Potsdam alumni across the globe were able to engage in new ways through Virtual Reunion Week 2020.
SUNY Potsdam Geology Faculty Members Awarded National Science Foundation Grant to Research Earth’s Carbon Cycle
Two faculty members in SUNY Potsdam’s Department of Geology have been awarded a major National Science Foundation grant to work with undergraduates on their exploration of Earth’s carbon cycle across history. Dr. Page Quinton and Dr. Michael Rygel were awarded $370,113 from the NSF’s Research in Undergraduate Institutions program to provide funding for as many as 10 SUNY Potsdam geology majors to complete research under their mentorship.
